Is this available worldwide?
No, the Workers Student Program is currently only available to students in the United States. Cloudflare is working on expanding support to other countries in the future.
Why do I need to add a credit card?
A valid credit card is required to activate the offer, even though you won't be charged the $5/month subscription fee. You may still be charged for usage above the included allotments (compute time, requests, storage, etc.).
What costs am I still responsible for?
The program waives the $5/month Workers Paid plan subscription fee. However, you are still responsible for any usage charges that exceed the included allotments for compute, requests, storage, and other resources.
How do I verify my student status?
You must set your .edu email address as the billing email in your Cloudflare account settings. Simply signing up with a .edu email is not sufficient - it must specifically be configured as your billing email.
What happens after 12 months?
After 12 months, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan. You won't be charged unless you choose to upgrade to the Workers Paid plan.
Can I use this for commercial projects?
The program is designed for student learning and development. Check Cloudflare's terms of service for specific usage restrictions.
